Sniffnet interrupts system operations

What's the problem?

Steps to reproduce:

1. Launch the Sniffnet application.
2. Create one or more folders on the desktop.
3. Try to delete them.

P.S.: I also noticed that when Sniffnet is running, the Files (Nautilus) application cannot open and shows a 'not responding' window. If I don't force-quit it and instead just close Sniffnet first, the Files window opens automatically.

Thanks for the report.

This sucks but I'm afraid this has to due with winit, the windowing library used by iced (Sniffnet's GUI toolkit).

I hope this will get solved on their next update, but on the bright side this issue was never reported before so hopefully it's not affecting the majority of Linux users.

Edit: have you tried having multiple screens to see if this only affects the one Sniffnet is running on?

Edit: I also notice that your Chrome icon isn't set correctly inside Sniffnet, which theme are you using? Don't you have the default hicolor?

If you mean Ubuntu workspaces, yes, I tested.

Aside from installing a few extra packages to fix dark mode in certain KDE applications, I haven't made any changes to the default system theme. It seems Sniffnet doesn't display icons for Snap or Flatpak applications. However, It correctly displays icons for apps installed directly on my system (e.g., OBS, VLC). If you can not reproduce, please let me know.
