Superseded by #1095, which carries this bump plus the code change it needed. This PR could not merge on its own. It raised MCP 2.0 relocates the server class. #1095 has the same three bumps on a renamed branch, plus the MCP 2.0 migration Thanks — the bump was right, it just needed a migration to land with it. |

Splits the non-breaking half out of #1083. That PR grouped three updates; the `mcp` 1.28.1 -> 2.0.0 bump in it is a breaking major that removes `mcp.server.fastmcp` and fails `pytest (oauth-draft)` with `ModuleNotFoundError`. It needs a code migration and gets its own PR. This change carries only the two updates that need no source change. - `ruff` 0.15.21/0.15.22 -> 0.16.1 across all 30 workspace members. - `prek` 0.4.10 -> 0.4.12 at the workspace root. - `mcp` deliberately left at 1.28.1. Ruff 0.16 formats Python inside Markdown fenced blocks, which is why #1083 also failed `ruff format` for skill-evals. The ten files it wanted to rewrite are all `evals/**/fixtures/**/report.md` — not one is real source. Those files are test *data*: they simulate what a contributor actually pasted into an issue, single quotes and missing blank lines included, and several are prompt-injection cases whose whole point is that the untrusted text reaches the model verbatim. Reformatting them would silently edit the input the eval grades against, so `tools/skill-evals` excludes the fixture tree from ruff instead. Verified: `ruff format --check` and `ruff check` pass for all 28 applicable members, and `prek run --all-files` exits 0. No fixture file is modified by this commit. Generated-by: Claude Code (Opus 5)

The breaking half of #1083, split out so the routine ruff/prek bumps could land on their own. `mcp` 2.0 makes two source-visible changes and neither is covered by a deprecation shim. - `mcp.server.fastmcp` is gone. The `FastMCP` class moved to `mcp.server.mcpserver` as `MCPServer`; `.tool()` and `.run()` keep their signatures, so the server body is unchanged beyond the rename. On 2.0 without this, importing the module raises `ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'mcp.server.fastmcp'` and `pytest (oauth-draft)` fails at collection. - `Tool.inputSchema` is now `Tool.input_schema`. This one only shows up in `test_tools_are_registered_without_any_html_parameter`, which is the test that enforces the server's plain-text-by-construction guarantee — that no tool anywhere exposes an `html` parameter. Left unfixed it would have failed with an `AttributeError` rather than silently passing, but it is worth naming: that assertion is the reason this package exists, so it must keep running. Verified on mcp 2.0.0: all 81 oauth-draft tests pass, `ruff check`, `ruff format --check` and `mypy` are clean, and `prek run --all-files` exits 0. Generated-by: Claude Code (Opus 5)
