Crashing when external hdd connected

Hi there, I'm new to turing screens. I got everything setup for this and it's working great but I discovered when I plug in an external HDD it causes main.exe to crash. I don't know enough to know why this occurs. Is it something I can fix?

What operating system? Which polling method are you using to get metrics? What version of turing-smart-screen-python are you using and, because Windows, is it the .py or .exe flavor? Does the issue not occur if the external drive is already present when turing-smart-screen-python starts? What troubleshooting have you attempted so far?
